so, after a fairly slow morning with Kris, and Chris and Elana(who are crashing at my place while house hunting), I started out by heading north along bart to the el cerito del norte bart, where I picked up the I-80 Bikeway which took my to San Pablo Dam Road. I headed southeast on San Pablo Dam along the back side of Wildcat Canyon Park to Castro Ranch Rd. heading up Castro Ranch took me to Alhambra Valley Rd. which in turn took me to Bear Creek Rd. On Bear Creek I climbed the three hills which give the ride it's name, and eventually returned to San Pablo Dam. At this point, feeling somewhat strong still(or perhaps having just exposed my brain to too much sun, and thus suffering from delirium) I decided to cross the street and head up Wildcat Canyon Rd. to return home. just as I passed Inspiration Pt. I experienced my first 2nd wind in probably a year. I cranked the rest of the way home staying above 20mph for most of the rest of the ride, and just generally feeling pumped. All told the ride was around 31 miles, and I finished in about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
Now that I've rested, and had a bite to eat, I suppose I should figure out my shopping list for the BBQ tomorrow. gotta make sure I've got all the ingredients for my BBQ sauce.
